Social Services

CIVIC Foundation is committed to advancing social well-being through a strong ethos of altruism, community empowerment, and positive societal impact. Guided by the belief that every individual has a responsibility to contribute to the betterment of society, the Foundation works to address social challenges and promote sustainable development across Bangladesh.

To foster grassroots leadership and inclusive growth, CIVIC Foundation has identified selected communities across the country and supported the formation of self-help groups comprising both youth and adults. These groups serve as local hubs for sharing information, knowledge, technology, innovation, and lifelong learning. Through these initiatives, communities are encouraged to build self-esteem, nurture sustainable economic practices, and empower individuals equitably.

At present, 598 community members—391 of whom are women—are actively serving as “development ambassadors” across 24 communities. Each community has established a Community Lending Center (CLC), a dedicated space where regular activities, meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions take place. These centers have been made possible through the generous contribution of land and infrastructure support from local residents.

CIVIC Foundation’s work is strengthened through partnerships with local government bodies, public administration academic institutions, social organizations, and NGOs. Together, they collaborate to deliver meaningful social services and community-driven development programs.

At the heart of the Foundation’s mission is the promotion of empathy, compassion, and mutual understanding—values essential for building a more harmonious and just society. Its philosophy of social service inspires active engagement in efforts that uplift others, whether through volunteerism, advocacy, or support for community initiatives. CIVIC Foundation emphasizes the interconnectedness of people and the shared responsibility we all hold in shaping a better future.
